Course Outline
Why should I take this course?
There exists a critical need for young adults with developmental disabilities to access educational opportunities, arts experiences, and pre-professional training programs as they prepare to enter the workforce. Creating museum internships for students with developmental delays can significantly broaden their educational opportunities, promote engagement with art and ideas in a safe space, and support the development of important social emotional skills, while providing opportunities for on-the-job training in a work environment that previously may have been unattainable.
